The Children’s Health Foundation, a 501(c )3 non-profit organization, was founded in Aspen in 2005 by Betsy Fifield with a mission to advance preventive and integrative health initiatives that benefit the mind, body and spirit of children. The Foundation aims to create systemic changes in schools and communities to ensure school safety, prevent childhood obesity, promote awareness of childhood learning differences, and reduce stress related pathologies in children. CHF programs include: Healthy School Lunches (working with schools and legislators to ensure optimum nutrition), Safe School Ambassadors (bullying prevention) and YogaEd (stress reduction). To date, over 6,000 children have benefited from CHF programs.
