Mike Ness co-founded Social Distortion in 1978 when he was just 17 years old and the band went on to become a ground breaking and influential punk band. Called “The Johnny Cash of punk rock” by many, Mike released his first solo album in 1999 which paid homage to country music which heavily influences him. The singer and guitarist has always held American folk and blues roots music in high regard.
