The Southern Troubadours

The Southern Troubadours is a raw up-close and personal look into the songs and songwriting of three prolific musicians. This July, Grammy winning songwriter Anders Osborne, along with two Rounder Records recording Artist Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone, and Clarence Bucaro together will become the Southern
Anders Osborne has written songs for Tim McGraw (1 Hit “Watchin the Wind Blow By”), Keb Mo, Tab Benoit, Brad Paisley, plus many other award winning Artist. His ability to take you to the places and people he writes about is like few journeymen of today. Anders is recognized through-out the world for his guitar style as he genuinely leaves you stuck to every lyric. Anders will perform songs from his Sony, Shanachie, and MC Record’s releases as well as new music that has never been heard. Since he rose to the attention of the music Critics he has become a favorite and one of the music world’s “best bets.”
Johnny Sansone’s in 2008, Johnny was the Blues Foundations nominee for “Best Song” for “Poor Mans Paradise” from his latest Cd. In 1997, Offbeat Magazine voted the Sansone penned “Crescent City Moon” for their “Song of the Year” award. Johnny has toured with Ronnie Earl as well as John Lee Hooker and has become the must see harmonica player of today. While much of his time is spent touring Italy and Germany, Sansone is an Activist and is a member of the Voice of the Wetlands All-stars performing with Tab Benoit and Cyril Neville at festival and club dates through-out the US.
Clarence Bucaro the New York Times has compared Bucaro to a 70’s Van Morrison. Since his graduation from Columbia University he has he hit the folk club circuit and has built enough of a buzz to garner international attention. Today he tours the world telling his stories and tales of his experiences while promoting the music that he loves. Since 2000, Clarence has been working with the Smithsonian on a collection of folk and protest songs that have been the sound track to the cultural change revolution that has changed America.
Unlike a painter these three musicians will take this opportunity to strip away the layers of color from their music delivering together and separately emotionally inspiring performances.
