DJ AM

Hollywood’s A-list spinner, DJ AM was born Adam Goldstein on March 30, 1973, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The “AM” stands for Goldstein’s first and middle name, Adam Michael.
Goldstein began spinning records in his hometown of Philadelphia, before moving to Los Angeles, where he joined the band Crazy Town, originally known as Brimstone Sluggers. When the group first formed, they collaborated with a band called Divine Styler, now known as the Black Eyed Peas. With their unique blend of rock and hip-hop, Crazy Town released albums during the late 90s up until 2003.
Goldstein is also the owner of popular L.A. nightclub, LAX, where he spins every Sunday night. He currently has a contract with Las Vegas nightclub PURE, inside Caesar’s Palace, where he DJs every week. He also tours various night clubs across the country.
Goldstein has lent his scratching on albums for such artists as for Papa Roach, Madonna, Will Smith, and Shifty. As the DJ of choice for Hollywood parties, he has also worked at private events for such celebs as Jim Carrey, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Stiller, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, and Kate Hudson.
Goldstein has recently collaborated with Travis Barker of Blink-182, and also occasionally DJs with Danny Masterson of That ‘70s Show, who goes by the name DJ MomJeans when spinning his tracks.
Goldstein counts artists such as DJ Cash Money, DJ Craze, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, and Mix Master Mike among his influences.
