The Adam Deitch Project plays live dub, hip-hop, drum&bass and trip-hop. This is live , bass heavy, club music. The project features four of the most talented musicians on the New York scene today. Stu “subby” Brooks, of Dub Trio and G-Unit is on bass, Borahm Lee (Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Digable Planets) plays keyboards and and an array of sonics, Adam Shmeeans Smirnoff (Lettuce and Robert Randolphs Family Band) is on guitar as well as frequent collaboraters MCs Moe “the Pope” and Anonymous (Project Move, Electric Co.) Nicks and Dimes on keys(Kudu,the Formula)DJ Gravy(iration squad) and reggae singer/revolutionary, Jah Dan (Noble Society). They have been playing at some of New York Citys hottest clubs including Nublu, the Knitting Factory and sold out weekends at the famed Blue Note as well as performing around the country in places like New Orleans(jazz fest) and Colorado (Telluride Jazz)

Adam Deitch may have been predestined to be a drummer. The son of two professional funk drummers and Berklee grads, Adam first picked up his sticks at the age of two and was sitting in with his parents funk band by the age of six. Adams career has crossed genres, focusing on hip-hop, funk and jazz, playing the role of both drummer and producer. He has developed his own style of playing that he adapts to his wide range of styles- including funk, drum&bass, dub,old and new R&B, jazz and of course hip-hop. Its Adams unique style that drives his popularity among fans, musicians and students alike.

Adam was inspired by hip-hop at an early age, inspired by Public Enemy, KRS-1, and Eric B and Rakim, Adam began his production career by making loops on a tape deck in his bedroom and messing around with his Dads drum machines and various synths. AD has gone on to produce tracks for some of todays top emcees including RedMan, Xzibit, Talib Kweli, KRS-One, MF Doom, J-Live, OC, M1(Dead Prez) Jurassic 5, Breeze Evahflowin,Wordsworth,Jean Grae, Immortal Technic and El Da Sensei.

Adam has done major session work on drums for artists including Justin Timberlake, English pop sensation Daniel Bedingfield, Chaka Khan, Anthony Hamilton, DJ Quik, Wyclef, Black Rob and Afu-Ru and is now working on the upcoming Justin Timberlake and Fugees records, sure to be two of the years biggest records. Recently, Adam has made appearances with Lauryn(Ms.) Hill, Pras of the Fugees, GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, Dead Prez, Meshell Ndegeocello, Wordsworth,and J-live as well as continuing to develop and promote his own SUPERproduction team/live hip hop band, the Fyre Dept.
